FAQ

Can I do in-person and online?

Yes. I offer a Hybrid Coaching option that combines in-person and online training. This is an additional $300/month and included ongoing programming and support alongside in-person sessions.

Why do you offer online coaching?

I offer online coaching because I found clients struggles to develop habits, and be able to workout independently with in-person personal training, and became dependant on me. I wanted to teach people to have independance working out and learn the skills needed to be fit for life. They would often stop working with me and lose a lot of the fitness they had worked so hard for. And with in-person coaching, being limited to 60 minute sessions left us with not a lot of time for woking out.

Online coaching allows me to support clients regardless of location (saving you time), while providing a level of structure, accountability, and individualized programming that extends beyond a single weekly session. This means that we can get more done in less time, and make progress more quickly, Rather than relying solely on what happens during our time together, you’ll have a plan designed specifically for your goals, movement needs, and lifestyle so you know exactly what to do between sessions.

Who is online coaching a good fit for?

Online coaching is ideal for individuals who:

  • Live outside of Vancouver

  • Have busy or unpredictable schedules

  • Travel frequently

  • Want expert guidance without attending in-person sessions

  • Are looking for personalized programming, and ongoing support

  • Have transitioned from in-person coaching and are ready for greater independence

Can I start in person, and transition to online?

Yes. Many clients begin with 1-2 months of in-person coaching before transitioning to online training. This allows us to build a strong foundation in movement quality and then continue progress remotely.

Are you currently accepting new in-person clients?

Yes, although I will be transitioning away from in-person coaching later this fall. Availability is limited, and I am currently accepting a small number of new in-person clients before the transition.

What are your hours for in person?

In-person training is offered on select weekdays, and Saturdays. Availability is limited and sessions are scheduled on a fist-come, first-served basis.

Do you offer single sessions?

No. I do not offer single sessions, as meaningful progress requires consistency and time. My coaching is designed around building long-term movement habits and sustainable results, which cannot be achieved through one-off sessions.

Are your services covered by insurance?

Not usually. Some companies may offer a wellness benefit but my services are not covered under most insurances.

How many sessions will I need per week?

Most clients train 1-2 times per week in person. I do not exceed 2 sessions per week in my current schedule.

For online coaching, training frequency is flexible, but it typically recommend 2-3 workouts per week to start, depending on your goals and capacity.

What conditions do you work with?

I specialize in working with individuals in Vancouver experiencing hypermobility, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), chronic pain, and movement limitations who want to build strength safely and confidently. I also work with those seeking a more individualized approach to corrective exercise, mobility, and long term performance.

Do you work with hypermobility or Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS)?

Yes, I specialize in working with individuals with hypermobility and EDS, focusing on improved strength, stability, body awareness, and confidence in movement while minimizing unnecessary joint stress.

Do I need previous gym experience?

No I work with complete beginners, through to experienced exercisers. Your program is designed around your current abilities, goals, and health history.

What results can I expect?

Results vary, but most clients come to me for improved strength, reduced pain, better movement control, injury prevention, and long-term performance. The focus is always on building a body that feels good and functions well, not just short-term aesthetics.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require 14 days cancellation notice for re-occuring services

Do I need to pay for the initial consultation?

No. This session is complimentary and free of charge.

What happens during the initial consultation?

We’ll discuss your goals, health history, previous exercise experience, and any pain or movement concerns. You’ll also go through a movement assessment so I can determine whether we’re a good fit and what approach would best support you.

Who is coaching not a good fit for?

Coaching is best suited for individuals who are ready to be consistent, open to feedback, and committed to the process. If you’re looking for a quick fix or aren’t able to commit to at least three months of training, we may not be the right fit.
